Peter Taimre is the Principal Legal Counsel, and is the founder, of Crest Consulting. Peter founded Crest Consulting in 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark to offer a boutique legal advisory service for businesses contracting on English language terms and conditions, including those trading into or out of Denmark and England & Wales.

Peter has over 17 years of top-grade experience in giving legal advice, and offers a highly valuable mix of top-firm and in-house background to maximise the quality and focus of his legal advise to your business.

With a background at a top-tier law firm, I bring extensive experience in both private practice and in-house roles for major mining, consumer, and facilities management brands. Known for my collaborative spirit, I thrive as a team player and leverage my international life experiences to approach challenges with a unique perspective and a sense of humor.

I am often the go-to person for navigating complex issues, utilizing my strengths in commercial contracts, minerals, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and special transactions. My passion for finding effective solutions drives my commitment to excellence and client satisfaction in every project.

In-depth and wide exposure to significant commercial transactions. Work spans Mining, Consumer Travel, Facilities Management, plus Top, Mid and Small Law Firms.

Detailed experience in corporate structure, complex issue and project management, expert in contract performance clauses and associated KPI negotiation.

High-value drafting and negotiating material contracts for major undertakings (incl. facilities management, cleaning, camp services, operating infrastructure and mine services, chartering ships, selling coal, sharing and dealing with tenements, success fee deals with investment banks and others).

Deep experience advising on material legal issues for mining and other clients (incl. acquisitions and farmouts of mining tenements, approvals, taxation, land transactions, corporate resolutions, small scale fundraising, transfers and environmental issues).

Granular advisory skill in advising on contract exit strategies and managing claims.

Teaming success in working with broader teams of contributors to meet project goals (claims, tenders, closedowns, acquisitions and sales, complex advice with multiple authors).
